Support valuable, distinctive programming
We are gratified by the extraordinary generosity of the many members, donors and funders who support APM’s myriad public radio services. That philanthropic support forms the foundation for all we do. Be it locally produced journalism, in-depth documentaries or live music recordings, the original programming and digital content we create requires significant time, expertise and resources.
As a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, American Public Media relies on gifts from individuals, foundations and corporations to help us fulfill our public service mission. Donors and funders are our most important source of financial support to bring you the news, music and cultural programming you love.
By contributing to American Public Media, you support our on-air programming and distribution directly to listeners. Individual gifts to APM programs are an important part of our financial health, and the quality of our programming. Unless otherwise specified, gifts to shows are unrestricted and support the operations of American Public Media.
A Sustaining Membership is an unrestricted annual gift that you can pay in a convenient, ongoing way. Each month, we will charge your credit or debit card, or initiate a withdrawal from your checking account, in the amount you specify. Your Sustaining Membership will automatically renew each year unless you choose to cancel or change it. You can increase, decrease or stop your donation at any time by calling us at 800-228-7123. Sustainers are crucial to providing an ongoing base of community support.

Foundation and Corporate Support
With millions of listeners nationwide, we rely on foundation and corporate support in order to inform, enrich and inspire people with our trusted and distinctive programming. There are many opportunities for foundations to support American Public Media, whether it’s through designated programming support or vital operating grants.
